St John’s ambulance visited Holy Family on Monday 29th February. Each class attended a session and learnt when to call 000, discussed who takes priority in an ambulance, classes looked at DRSABCD = Danger, Response, Send for help, Airway, Breathing, CPR and Defibrillator, and had a go at bandaging. Students were very engaged and found this session very relevant and useful. This would be great discussion point to have at home to ensure your child and family have processes in place if an accident occurs.

On Ash Wednesday we had a school mass at the church. The mass was not only about celebrating the start of Lent but also to celebrate the new student school and house captains. The badges of the school and house captains were blessed by the priest, Fr Mon. The classes all received a new crucifix to display in the classrooms, they look beautiful! 😁🐸😍
It was Pancake Tuesday on the 9th of February. Mr Donohue and the Year sixes made pancakes. Some pancakes were big and some were small. We ended up giving every class pancakes, some people even got seconds. The teachers sneaked some pancakes too. The pancakes were yummy!
