The students were excited even though the day started with rain however when the bus arrived it cleared up into beautiful day. The students had a look at the outside of Parliament house and learnt interesting facts such as it was built on the site of the old post office with the columns designed to represent the bombs that fell there in World War II and that the building was white to keep it cool!
Inside students were split into two groups. Each visited the Borella ride exhibition and asked many interesting questions. Year 3/ 4 impressed the Historical Librarians who said students had a lot of knowledge about Albert Borella. Students enjoyed looking around Parliament house and their favourite thing was timeline of Albert Borella, the aboriginal paintings, olden day photos and the librarians. Everyone in Rm 9 and Rm 11 learnt a lot of things and most importantly a great time!
