Ten students from Holy Family celebrated their Confirmation at Mass on Sunday the 29th of October. The students have been studying hard over the past five weeks in preparation for their special day. Bishop Eugene Hurley led the celebration and emphasised that he now shares a special relationship with the 10 candidates. I take this opportunity to thank the parents of the candidates for their support, Sebastian and Pauline from the Holy Family Parish, Bibiana and Fr Mon who were all instrumental in the journey for these ten special candidates.

During the prayer liturgy led by Room 15 on the Holy Rosary, handmade Rosary Beads were handed out to classes. These Rosary Beads were donated by Janice Quan and her family and friends. Janice hopes that we use these Rosary Beads to pray the Rosary.
In Week 9 and 10 of Term 3, we all went to the swimming pool to learn how to swim. It was a cool time for all.
Congratulations to Rainbows Holy Family Early Learning Centre who came runners up in the Small Employer of the Year category at the NT Training Awards.
On Tuesday the 12th of September the Year 2 and 3 were invited in participate in the ‘Cracka Cup’ which was run by NTFL. Our day started with a coaching clinic lead by secondary students from Darwin and some up from Geelong. They taught us how to kick, handball and even tackle. We were then split into 3 teams and participated in a round robin tournament. Our teams were very successful and all demonstrated great sportsmanship and skill. The day finished with some great fun on the waterslide. We would all like to say a big thankyou to Miss Andree for organising such a fun day.

On Fridays at 12.00pm the whole school have been participating in multi-age activities across the school. This has been a great way for students to mix with other year levels and get to know other staff and adults within the school. Some of the activities included basketball games, Rock and Water activities, mindful colouring in, grass heads, drawing, skipping, pet rocks, painting, construction, body movement and many more.
A big thanks to all the Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Inclusion Support Assistants, Indigenous Education Workers and parents who led an activity. The students truly had a great time.
