Principal's Welcome

2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Karama. Holy Family is first and foremost a Catholic school. We embrace our Faith by living out our Christian values with courage and kindness, seeking justice and respect for all. The adage, ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ underpins the culture here at Holy Family. We have a team of dedicated teachers, Inclusion Support Assistants, Teacher Assistants, Aboriginal, Islander Education Workers and Administration Staff who are committed to all students. We welcome and encourage family and parish involvement in the life of the school.

Our school is located next door to O'Loughlin Catholic College, a Year 7-12 college. With our Early Learning Centre open for children from 3-5 year olds, we can cater for children on our site right up to Year 12. Please follow the link below to O'Loughlin's website: oloughlin.nt.edu.au to find out more about what they can offer your child and their education.

There are approximately 260 students at Holy Family, each with their varying needs, strengths, challenges and unique personalities. We are committed to providing an education that targets students from their individual point of need so they can achieve their best. We believe that teaching should engage, inspire and challenge the students as they navigate and participate in our rapidly changing world.

The safety of all students is our primary concern. We are committed to providing an environment where all members feel safe, valued and respected.

It is both an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of this wonderful school. Please enjoy the range of information found here that will give you more insight into our community.
We thank you for visiting us!
Yours Sincerely,
Michelle Garbutt
